how we started

The idea for Banyan Literature and Art took root out of the necessity, noting the limited outlets that local creatives are offered on the island. Banyan aims to bridge some of that gap by giving these artists a space to share their stories, perspectives, and visions.

We currently publish annually, as our publication grows and our team expands we hope to bring new opportunities for readers to connect with fresh voices in local art and literature. Our vision is to someday publish more frequently. For now, we offer each issue up to our readers with pride, as we are proud of the work our contributors have done to help Banyan come to fruition.
